The Peacemaker Center

At its inception, The Peacemaker Center had one therapist working in a home office, and now has a staff of more than 48 clinicians in six office locations.

The Peacemaker Center began in 2000 when Carl Green, Senior Pastor of Calvary Fellowship Church in Downingtown, asked Rob and Judy Reid to develop an organization to serve children, adults, couples and families in the local church community using Biblically-based therapy and conflict resolution.

Community Lenders held the mortgage on The Peacemaker Center’s previous Downingtown building. When The Peacemaker Center outgrew that office, they reached out to work with Community Lenders again on their new, more visible location on Route 113 in Downingtown.

To meet the growing needs of the community, the new building enables The Peacemaker Center to provide professional counseling services to more clients and accommodate more counselors. Four times larger than their previous office, The Peacemaker Center went from six to 12 private counseling offices, a conference room, a larger counseling room to accommodate small groups or large families, two waiting rooms to increase privacy and confidentiality, an additional play therapy room, and more parking spaces.

Regardless of income or ability to pay, The Peacemaker Center provides individuals of all ages with clinical care within the framework of God’s truth and guidance. People of all faiths or no faith are welcome, and Spanish-speaking and bi-lingual therapists are on staff.
